Mia’s beautiful glass ornaments are handcrafted in Poland, where the art of making glass tree ornaments has roots that are centuries old. Her exquisite ornament designs are inspired by old Christmas traditions, antique ornament designs, master drawings, art treasures and the natural world that surrounds her. Mia’s ornaments are individually mouth blown, silvered, painted and glittered by hand. It takes approximately one week to create each of these stunning collectable ornaments.
From store stock, this long retired ornament is in “new”, mint condition. Griffin measures approximately 5 ½”.
The "Griffin" is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. As the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle was the king of the birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. Griffins are known for guarding treasure and priceless possessions.
