This beautiful set of eight (8) blown glass heart ornaments is from the whimsical imagination of Bethany Lowe. Eight glimmering red hearts sprinkled with frosty white mica flakes are nestled in a vintage inspired gift box. These nostalgic ornaments will look lovely hanging on your Valentine’s tree! Each heart ornament measures approximately 2” x 1 ½”. The sweetly illustrated gift box measures approximately 4" x 6".

Hearts have long been associated with love and Valentine’s Day. This holiday is believed to have its origins in the Ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia. On this day, a young man would draw a scroll inscribed with the name of the young lady who was to be his sweetheart for the year. This tradition was integrated with the Christian celebration of St. Valentine, the martyr who penned “your Valentine” at the bottom of a letter. The heart also signifies the love of Christ, whose birth is celebrated at Christmastime. The glass heart ornament is the perfect combination of all these celebrations.
