Once upon a time…In a far off wintry land Jack Frost grew lonely and took the task to hand. He used his magic powers and smiled when he was through, for what he’d made were Snowbabies a joy for me and you!
Since their first appearance in 1987, when five tiny bisque figures were introduced, Snowbabies have enchanted collectors around the country and have brightened the imaginations of all of us who celebrate the gentle play of youthful innocence. This charming collection has grown to include waterglobes, music boxes, and ornaments made of porcelain bisque and European glass.
Handed down through generations, the technique of creating decorative glass ornaments has been preserved by a small group of dedicated artisans throughout Eastern Europe. Each charming, heirloom quality Department 56 glass ornament has been skillfully mouth blown and carefully hand-painted using this traditional old European method.
Made in Poland, this cunning little Snowbaby is part of the Night Before Christmas Collection. This is a two-piece set. The Snowbaby measures approximately 5” and attached to the top is a 2” blown-glass star ornament. It is also accompanied by its trademark Night Before Christmas Collection clock face and ornament collectors’ tag. This long retired collectible is in "new", mint condition, from store stock.
