From Merck Family’s Old World Christmas comes “Uncle Sam Bust”. This long retired ornament is made of mouth blown-glass and is hand-painted and glittered in patriotic colors of red, white and blue! The ornament is pictured showing each side to illustrate the fine craftsmanship that went into creating this unique collectors piece.

“New”, in mint condition, from store stock, “Uncle Sam Bust” measures 3 ¾” and is topped with the star cap trademark, signifying its authenticity as an heirloom ornament hand-crafted in Germany exclusively for Old World Christmas by Inge-Glas.

Inge-Glas was founded by the direct descendants of the original glassblowers of Lauscha, Germany. Passed down through fifteen generations, this family of gifted artisans represents a living legacy to the exceptional talent needed to create these unique collectibles.

Using antique molds, each exquisite ornament was painstakingly mouth-blown into an original antique mold. Once the ornament cooled, a solution of hot liquid silver was poured inside, giving the ornament its shine and reflectivity. After this stage, the ornament was elegantly hand-painted in the festive colors you see pictured. Finally, the long stem was carefully cut and the distinctive star cap attached. It took approximately seven days to create this heirloom quality ornament!
