Produced by the family workshop of Inge-Glas, now operated by the fifteenth generation of glassblowers, is “Bird Cottage”. This charming ornament was created by the skilled artisans of Inge-Glas and was imported from Germany to the United States by Merk Family’s Old World Christmas. “Bird Cottage” is pictured here showing all four sides to illustrate the fine craftsmanship that went into creating this incredibly detailed ornament.

This precious collectible is long retired and is in “new”, mint condition from store stock. “Bird Cottage”, retired ornament #1647, measures 4”, is hand-painted and glittered and is topped with the star cap trademark, signifying its authenticity as an heirloom ornament created by Inge-Glas.

Considered a universal symbol of happiness and joy, a precious little bluebird chirps cheerfully amidst a rambling vine of pink and red roses that surrounds his happy little home! “Bird Cottage” comes complete with a story card telling the legend of The Glass Bird Ornament.
