No bull-this frog is for real!

From Merck Family’s Old World Christmas comes “Frog”. This long retired ornament is made of mouth blown-glass, and is hand-painted and glittered. “New”, in mint condition, from store stock, this retired ornament measures 2 ¾” and is topped with the star cap trademark signifying its authenticity as an heirloom ornament hand-crafted by Inge-Glas of Germany.

Using antique molds, each exquisite ornament was painstakingly mouth-blown into an original antique mold. Once the ornament cooled, a solution of hot liquid silver was poured inside, giving the ornament its shine and reflectivity. After this stage, the ornament was elegantly hand-painted in festive Christmas colors. Finally, the long stem was carefully cut and the distinctive star cap attached. It took approximately seven days to create this heirloom quality ornament!

Inge-Glas was founded by the direct descendants of the original glassblowers of Lauscha, Germany. Passed down through thirteen generations, this family of gifted artisans represents a living legacy to the exceptional talent needed to create these beautiful collectibles.
