“New”, in mint condition from store stock, this retired ornament is topped with the star cap trademark, signifying its authenticity as an heirloom created by Inge-Glas. It comes with an Old World Christmas story card telling the legend of “The Christmas Spider”: “The Christ child came to bless an old woman’s tree. It was covered with cobwebs that the spiders left the night before. He was dismayed to see the tree covered with webs as he knew hoe hard the old woman had worked to clean her house. So he touched the webs and they all turned to sparkling silver and gold. Ever since that time, Christmas trees have been hung in tinsel and it is considered good luck to have a spider among the decorations of your tree.”
